Every Sudanese person living abroad knows the weight of the phrase "Ya Zoul." It is more than just a word; it is our identity, our bond, and a reminder of our shared values of hospitality, dignity, and looking out for one another no matter where we land in the world.
As Sudanese living in Canada, we experienced a constant challenge: supporting our families back home in Egypt and Sudan through traditional financial networks meant watching hard-earned remittance capital get eaten away by high transfer fees and unpredictable local inflation.
